We had the most wonderful day at Barefoot beach. The water was so clear you could see fish and shells everywhere. The water was just like a warm bath and calm as far as the eye could see. Jack and Gran found a small star fish and then we found another one further on down the beach later in the morning. I think this is our favorite part of visiting Florida.
My Mom and I had a fun time taking the boys up to Orlando where we enjoyed Sea World and the water park Aquatica. The Shamu show and dolphin show were really cool to see, but I think the boys enjoyed feeding the little manta rays the most. The boys had their faces painted and also really liked the shark exibit. Gran and I were exhausted toward the end of our two days there to say the least!
Here is Jack explaining to Brody just what it takes to catch a fish. We were at the pier in Cape Coral and we all got skunked except for Grandpa Larry who was able to reel in a small grunt fish. Jack almost caught a big one, but whatever it was broke the line. He was so excited. Brody also enjoyed playing with the bait shrimp... go figure!
Here we all are swimming in Gran and Papa's pool.
I think this is were we spent the majority of our time.
The weather was about 90 degrees during the day and
warm in the evenings as well. It is so great that the
boys have become so comfortable in the water. We
still have to keep a close eye on Brody... it seems as
though he loves to jump in at a moments notice even
if that means I have to jump in after him in my pajamas!
That actually happened our first morning there! Sorry
we don't have the after photo of that!
My good friend Diane and I took the boys to see the Easter Bunny for the third year in a row on Friday. Shockingly, Brody loved him and didn't want to leave. I guess he seems a lot less scary than Santa Clause at 2 years old! Then there's Jack and Joey... Do all 4 year old boys smile like that? Hey Dommy... where's your pina colada?
